Position Description Project Manager
Finance LOB Decision Support has a challenging position related to coordinating and enhancing our profitability reporting environment. At the core of this position is our cardmember profitability system which tracks transaction based revenue and expenses at the account level. The resulting account level detail is ultimately sourced by user groups throughout the company to drive key decisions regarding cadmember promotions, marketing campaigns and risk behavior. Additional responsibilities focus on our multidimensional databases, which houses our Management and Product Profitability reporting. Key to this position is the ability to maintain the data acquisition routines that support our reporting capabilities. Typically this is accomplished by acquiring financial and statistical data from various sources to create a flexible, though controlled, financial reporting environment.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with Business users and BT groups to implement- enhancements
Review profitability metrics to ensure reported results are- consistent with expectations
Periodically develop unit costs to reflect- accurate expense allocations
Provide initiative status updates to users on- a regular basis
Prioritize concurrent projects and manage deadlines-
Develop and maintain allocation routines to support Product Profitability reporting
Ability to deal with unforeseen issues in a controlled and- professional manner
Skills Required MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Two to- five years of experience in analytics Dealing with the financial services industry. Prior credit card experience preferred.
Strong computer skills- including experience with statistical software (SAS), SQL or other analytical tools
Familiarity with Hyperion and Essbase applications-
Excellent- communication and interpersonal skill
Team orientation with an- independent, self-starter focus
Strong problem solving and project- management skills
Ability to navigate or general ledger system and- interpret account detail
Skills Desired Additional/Optional Experience, Education, etc.:
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance,-* or a related discipline is a plus
