Description:
Our client is a full service supplier of print materials. We are actively searching for a Manager of External Reportingto add to their team of outstanding professionals. Our client's Chicago Loop location is easily accessed via public transportation and/or expressways. The ideal candidate for Manager of External Reporting is a CPA with 5-8 years of Public Accounting (preferably Big 4 - SEC) experience. The Manager of External Reporting is responsible for the preparation of all external financial reporting, annual report and other required SEC filings. This highly visible role will require regular communication with the Corporate Controller, Assistant Controller, Director of Consolidations and Corporate Accounting, CFO, other Corporate department heads, and Business Unit finance leaders.
Some specific responsibilities include:
- Assist in the coordination and preparation of information included in earnings releases, annual report, Form 10-K, Proxy Statement, Form 10-Q, Form 8-K and otehr SEC Filings
- Responsible for all aspects of SEC reporting including disclosure checklist, data gathering, processing and crontrol, and document filings
- Technical research on accounting issues and new accounting standards impacting the SEC reporting process
- Prepare and review other financial statements and reports as needed
- Provide support to external auditors during audits and interim reviews
- Coordinate requests and manage the flow of information and documentation
- Ensure all non-GAAP disclosures are in accordance with SEC regulations
- Assist with the preparation of the monthly financial reporting package to the CFO and Executive Management
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements for the company's pension and savings plan, including Form 11-K
- Assist with Audits of benefit plans
- Assist with the maintenance and updating of Sarbanes-Oxley 404 processes and procedures
- Preparation of governmental reports and other surveys
- Assist with the company's debt and equity offerings
Requirements:
- 4 Year Degree in Accounting
- CPA Preferred
- 5-8 Years of Public Accounting SEC (Preferably Big 4)
- Proficient in applying GAAP
- Strong technical and analytical skills
- Proven ability to respond within short time constraints and meet deadlines, while maintaining accuracy
