Description:
Our client is a multi-billion dollar financial services and insurance company located in Chicgao's nothern suburbs. We are currently assisting them in their search for a Senior Accountant. As Senior Accountant your accounting responsibilities will involve mostly reporting and analysis for the investment instruments with a primary focus on GAAP reporting.
Some more specific responsibilities include:
- Various GAAP month end close responsibilities including posting journal entries and account analysis
- Prepare, review, and analyze various reports for internal and external customers, including the preparation of the Balance Sheet, Flash/Trend reports, and monthly investment position reports
- Prepare quarterly and year-end GAAP schedules and financial statements that are utilized in the preparation of the 10-K, 10-Q, and Investor Supplement
- Assist with the review of the investment information in the MD&A and Footnotes
- Assist with leading or coordinating aspects of team projects, assignments and team responsibilities
Requirements:
- 4 Year Degree in Accounting
- 2-4 Years of professional accounting or reporting experience, preferably in investments or GAAP reporting focus
- Experience coordinating team processes or leading process improvements a plus
- General Accounting Knowledge
