Description:
Our client, a subsidiary of a Fortune 500 holding company, is headquartered in Wisconsin and currently serves 23 U.S. states and 5 Canadian provinces by providing quality energy supplies and services. They currently are seeking a Staff Accountant for their Chicago Loop office. The Chicago Staff Accountant is responsible for participation in all accounting and related systems on the gas side of the business. More specific responsibilities include:
- Monthly closing
- Operational cost reporting
- Cash management
- Budeting & Variance analysis
- Financial audit
The Staff Accountant will also be responsible for communication and coordination with holding company accounting, tax and budget areas and reports to the Accounting Supervisor.
Requirements:
- 4 Year Degree in Accounting
- 1+ Years accounting experience
- CPA or CMA Preferred
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong communication skills and a keen attention to detail
- Must be adaptable and flexible
