Description:
Our client is a multi-million dollar strong food industry giant that is growing exponentially. They are conveniently located in the near Western Suburbs and easily accessible via expressway or Metra. They are currently in need of an Accounting Manager to direct general accounting, accounts payable and credit and collection functions to ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls. This role will also provide guidance for effective processing within ERP system.
Responsibilities include:
- Review and approve monthly journal entries and account reconciliations. Assist with preparation if required. Maintain general ledger master files and perform month end close routines.
- Ensure accuracy of fixed asset database for both internal and external (tax) compliance. Capitalize and dispose of assets in a timely manner. Perform month end close routines.
- Produce accounts payable checks on a weekly basis. Resolve suspended items, perform month end close routines and produce annual 1099’s.
- Monitor credit and collections to ensure timely resolution of payment issues, orders on credit hold, clearing of unapplied transactions from the aging and distribution of monthly reports.
- Assist with tax reporting for sales & use, property, franchise and payroll matters.
- Coordinate audit requests.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- CPA Preferred
- 5+ Years Finance Experience
- ADP and/or SAP experience a plus
- Able to interact with all levels of employees and management
- Effective communications with outsourced payroll provider
- Provide SAP support providers and auditors
