Description:
Our client is a multi-million dollar, multinational technology manufacturer and distributor located in Chicago's Northwestern suburbs. We are currently assisting them in their search for a Corporate Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate has exceptional technical accounting skills combined with a strong foundation in internal controls and financial reporting. Prior SEC experience is required. The Corporate Accounting Manager supports the VP and Corporate Controller in the areas of financial close, consolidation, internal and external reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and planning and analysis. This is a high profile role and requires the incumbent to effectively communicate with all levels of the company and finance. The Corporate Accounting Manager should possess strong interpersonal and analytical skills along with the ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing business conditions in a growth environment. Some responsibilities include:
- Monthly consolidation process
- Analyze monthly results including preparation of monthly reporting package
- Treasury process activities
- Organize and supervise the internal financial process reviews and certifications under Sarbanes-Oxley including the development of financial policies and procedures
- Interface with external auditors relating to quarterly results and the year-end audit
- Handle any local, state or federal tax matters and/or coordinating with our outside experts
- Assist in accounting for company-wide income taxes
- Assist in the annual planning and quarterly forecast process
- Assist in preparation of registration statements if company decides to move forward in the public offering
- Accounting and finance special projects as assigned by Corporate Controller
Requirements:
- Bachelor in Accounting
- 5+ Years accounting experience
- Prior SEC experience
- Strong PC application and accounting systems skills
- Familiarity with internal controls and experience with the accounting close process
- Highly motivated individual with a results oriented mentality and a commitment to excellence
- Prior experience in financial reporting of income taxes preferred
- Prior public accounting preferred
