Description:
Our client is a multi-million dollar consumable products manufacturer located in the near Northwest suburbs outside of Chicago. They are currently searching for an Accounting Manager to direct general accounting, accounts payable and credit and collection functions to ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls. The Accounting Manager also provides guidance for effective processing within ERP system. Some more specific responsibilities include:
- Review and approve monthly journal entries and account reconciliations. Assist with preparation if required. Maintain general ledger master files and perform month end close routines.
- Ensure accuracy of fixed asset database for both internal and external (tax) compliance. Capitalize and dispose of assets in a timely manner. Perform month end close routines.
- Produce accounts payable checks on a weekly basis. Resolve suspended items, perform month end close routines and produce annual 1099’s.
- Monitor credit and collections to ensure timely resolution of payment issues, orders on credit hold, clearing of unapplied transactions from the aging and distribution of monthly reports.
- Assist with tax reporting for sales & use, property, franchise and payroll matters.
- Coordinate audit requests.
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting
- 5+ Years Accounting experience including supervisory experience
- CPA Preferred
- ADP and/or SAP Preferred
